An Opportunity to Respond to the Flooding in Peru

Thank you for participating in Mission Peru.

Some of you are going on this year's trip; some of you just went last year, and many of you have supported us in years past.

You have probably seen evidence of the devastating flooding that's been happening in so much of Peru.

Over the past few weeks Peru has been surveying the extent of the damage which has left many without access to clean water or food and has destroyed countless homes. As the community aims to work together to move forward with the impossible task of rebuilding everything we ask that you partner with us in prayer.

This year's team plans to be working specifically with Inca Link to address whatever we can while we're down there.

If you're not going this year, you can still support the Emergency response by clicking on the following link. A fund has been set up to go directly to Inca Link's efforts with the community affected by all the flooding.

Click on this Link, and thank you once again for your support as we head into our 10th year.

    Imperfect Messenger; Perfect Message

    April 4, 2016

    by Jeff Enns

I have heard so often from students, “Man! I wish I had learned more Spanish!” If you have participated in Mission Peru over these past 9 years, you more than likely felt this way, whether you voiced it or not. When we’re in the moment, and in Peru, we have this longing to communicate more effectively through words, and more often than not, we leave some of those experiences feeling frustrated. You might have even felt like you should have been a better messenger, but the words just simply wouldn’t come.

Finding Joy in the Little Things

    March 31, 2016

by Ashley Jones, West London Alliance Church

During our time in Peru, I learned what the true definition of joy is. Before this trip, I always knew that there was a difference between happiness and joy but I never truly thought about what it was. Some of the Peruvians that I met really put into perspective the difference between the two words.

Mission Peru Update: 2016 and Beyond

It was time for a second scouting trip. The year is now 2016. The first scouting trip was 2007, and we are about to send a March Break Team, an annual Mission Peru Trip for the 9th consecutive year.

For me specifically, it was worth another 5 day scouting trip in order to “stop, long enough to listen”. We were there to ask questions of the churches, ask questions of the ministry leaders, and then prayerfully move forward again with renewed vision and a stronger partnership for the years to come.

On The Bus

Thank you so much for your support over these past two years for the "Get On The Bus" campaign. On July 3rd, 2013 we purchased the bus and drove it directly to the Children's Home.

Please continue to pray for the paperwork submission process as this bus now awaits the children into their new home.  Thank you once again for your sacrificial giving and your prayerful patience in helping fulfill the larger vision.
