People in Peru

This mission trip has been a huge culture shock for me. People here are extremely nice, and very friendly, and are very, very photo happy. They always want to take pictures with the "Canadians". The houses here are not at all like the ones we have in Canada. They have steel roofs, and a lot of them look uncompleted. It amazes me how people live in these conditions.

I have also noticed that people here are very happy despite these poor living conditions. I have yet to see any people upset, or complaining. They are content with what they have. I really think that these people have a lot that they can teach us about contentment. They have true joy, and happiness that I have never seen in a person before. They continue to work hard no matter their problems.

Please pray that God will give us strength for the upcoming days, as a lot of us are very tired. Pray that we can be a blessing in the lives of others, and that we can be blessed by them.
